Penny whistle for your thoughts...

HG loves music of all kinds, singing, instrumental, and all the better if it's live and she can watch the musicians strumming on their guitars, puffing into their clarinets or pounding away at the drums.

She was therefore suitably thrilled when a family get-together turned into a family singalong, accompanied by guitar, mandolin, drums and Irish penny whistle.

Noticing her interest in the instruments her cousin Danny decided to teach her how to "play" his Irish penny whistle. After initial hesitation, HG accepted the whistle and with some guidance eventually worked out how to produce a sound, much to her delight.
